American Brian Leetch and Russian Vladimir Malakhov are often defensive linemates when they play for the Rangers but at the Games they played against each other twice. Forwards Theo Fleury, a Canadian and Mike York from the US, met in the gold medal game where the Canadians came out on top. Rangers high-scoring Czech Radek Dvorak missed out on a medal but played a great tournament while teammate and US goalie Mike Richter never had to face a shootout. And Eric Lindros won his second medal with Team Canada but this time the color was gold.
