June 8, 2009 - The Knicks Groove Truck visited the St. Martin de Porres Marianist School in Uniondale in celebration of the completion of the 2008-09 Knicks Read to Achieve @powertolearn.com Program. The visit was a special prize awarded to 3rd & 4th graders in Ms. Antonio's, Ms. Carriero's, Ms. Rund's and Ms. Visconti's classes after an award ceremony where each participant received a certificate of completion. Guided by the Knicks Groove Truck Street Team, the students competed in basketball shooting contests against classmates and some teachers.
