Hudson Valley - Knicks Groove Truck Visits School 30 in Yonkers to Celebrate the Accomplishments of the Read to Achieve Program
June 15, 2009


June 15, 2009 - The Knicks Groove Truck visited 3rd, 4th & 5th graders at School 30 in Yonkers, NY, in celebration of the completion of the 2008-09 Knicks Read to Achieve @powertolearn.com Program. The children were also visited by Yonkers City Council President Chuck Lesnick, who helped present the kids with their certificates of completion before enjoying their pizza party and outdoor activities, as well as and Councilman John Murtagh who joined the kids during their outdoor festivities. Guided by the Knicks Groove Truck Street Team, the students competed in basketball shooting contests against classmates and some teachers.
