To participate in Charity Champions high schools must:
- Apply for participation by October 15.
- Once selected, submit an Activity Plan between October 25 - 29.
- Provide Power to Learn with a Release Form for participating students.
- November 1 – April 15 – schools undertake fundraising activities/events and keep Power to Learn informed of the dates and times of any related activities so that coverage by MSG Varsity can be arranged. Varsity coverage/footage will not be used to evaluate the application for the contest.

- Implementation – How did you raise the money? Please describe the events and activities.
- Results – Describe the success of the project: how much money was raised? How many students and members of the community participated?
- Materials: If available, please submit any posters, photos, invitations, flyers or other materials that were created to support and promote the activities. A CD of any video or photos taken can be included. Print outs are also acceptable. The video should not exceed 5 minutes in length.
